Great prices on 2009/10 nuts - while stocks last

"Due to a number of extreme weather events in Qld & Northern NSW during 2009 and early 2010, the size of the Pecan and Macadamia nut crops has been greatly reduced. As a result, the price for premium grade kernal has lifted significantly, reaching record highs in recent months. Stahmann Farms (and Mother Megs) is committed to the supply of high quality products and has been forced to pass on these input cost increases on the new seasons nuts". Andrew Waddell, Stahmann Farms June 2010

Stahmann Gourmet finds a new home

The management and staff of Stahmann Farms would like to express our gratitude for the overwhelming response we received to our last Stahmann Gourmet catalogue. So many people expressed disappointment at the closure of our mail order business that we were moved to try to find an alternative, and I am delighted to say that we have done so.

As of 1st August 2009, ownership of the Stahmann Gourmet business was transferred to another local Toowoomba company and long-standing friends of Stahmann Farms, Mother Meg's Fine Foods. Mother Meg's is also a family company, owned by Ben and Kate Baker, with a wonderful reputation for baking outstanding quality biscuits, cakes and puddings some of which you may already have tried from our catalogue over the last few years.

Over the past weeks we have worked with Ben and Kate to ensure a smooth transition of the Stahmann Gourmet business, so that the service and the quality products you know and love will continue to be offered by Mother Meg's.

We have entrusted them with our Brand and Recipes and enabled them to continue the supply of our gourmet range of products, whilst we concentrate on our core business, growing, processing, and selling our premium nuts products, all proudly Australian, into supermarket chains throughout Australia, as well as, supply the increasingly growing export market.

On behalf of all at Stahnmann Farms, I thank you once again for your support and hope you will continue to enjoy our nuts and nut products through our new partners Mother Meg's, for many years to come.
