At Mother Meg’s we are dedicated to the art of traditional baking, we use old family recipes to produce a delicious range of biscuits, fruit cakes and plum puddings.

Selecting only the best ingredients ~  together with domestic recipes, no added preservatives and stylish packaging, we strive to be regarded as the premium brand in our class.

We are committed to uncompromised quality, taste and value and with 25 years’ experience we create a taste sensation that memories are made of. Enjoy !!


Our assurance of food safety for all our products is managed through our HACCP risk based, Food Safety Management System (FSMS). Mother Meg's meets the GFSI Food Safety Certification ISO22000 (FSSC) requirements.

Founded in 1992, Mother Meg’s is today owned and operated by Ben and Kate Baker. We are located in the heart of the Darling Downs, Toowoomba, Queensland. Originally established by Kay Wormwell, Mother Meg’s is named after her Grandmother. We continue to remain loyal to these unique and traditional family recipes, using traditional baking techniques and premium ingredients.

Ben and Kate
Ben and Kate purchased Mother Meg’s nearly fifteen years ago. They left careers in business and the food industry to take on the challenge, and the move has proven to be very successful. They are actively involved in all areas of the business, from administration and sales through to packing, cooking and distribution. Ben and Kate continue to bring a new found enthusiasm to the business and a steadfast commitment to providing quality products and service to their customers.

The Team 
Darren and Imelda, are our production and operations managers, and their experience and knowledge teamed with their passion for baking is evident in the way they lead the Mother Meg’s team. They take great pride in their work, and with the great support from the Mother Meg’s team ~ Ian, Lucy, Jenny, Tyson and Denise - they ensure every biscuit, cake or pudding is cooked and packed to absolute perfection.
